Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral for an imaging exam?

Most exams require a physician's order. Some screening exams (like screening mammograms for women 40+) may be self-referred depending on your insurance. Call us to check.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring your photo ID, insurance card, physician's order/referral, and any prior imaging CDs if from another facility.

How long will my exam take?

X-rays take 10-15 minutes. CT scans 15-30 minutes. MRIs 30-60 minutes. We'll give you a time estimate when you schedule.

When will I get my results?

Results are sent to your referring physician within 48 hours. Stat reads are available same-day for urgent cases.

Can I get a copy of my images?

Yes. Request a CD of your images at the front desk after your exam, or call us to arrange pickup.

What if I'm claustrophobic?

We have an Open MRI designed for anxious patients. You can also bring a companion, listen to music, or ask your doctor about a mild sedative.
